AI-generated listings

Crosslist lets you generate listing details from an image using a state-of-the-art AI algorithm.

The AI automatically detects the product you’re selling based on the first three images of your product and generates a title, description, and fills in attributes such as category, brand, color, condition, size, tags and dynamic properties (e.g., sleeve length, neckline).

It also suggests an optimal market price based on product characteristics and current market conditions.

Generate new listings from scratch

To generate listing details using AI, follow these steps:

1. Upload at least one image — ideally with identifying features in the first six images.
2. Click the Generate with AI button. This may take a few seconds.

3. Review the results and make any necessary edits.

WARNING

Only the fields required by the selected marketplaces will be generated. Make sure to select your target marketplaces before using AI generation.

The AI will also overwrite any existing content in supported fields like title, description, and product attributes.

Complete existing listings

You can choose to generate just the missing fields instead of the entire listing. This option will only fill in what’s empty, using the info you’ve already added to help complete the details.

1. Navigate to an existing listing with at least one image — ideally with identifying features in the first six images.
2. Click the arrow next to the Generate with AI button.
3. Select Generate missing fields from the dropdown. This may take a few seconds.

Complete existing listings in bulk

You can use AI to generate missing fields in bulk. This is useful when you want to list to marketplaces that require fields that are missing from your source listings.

This option only fills in empty fields. It uses the information already added to your listings to complete the missing details.

1. Select the listings you want to update from your listing overview, then click the Bulk actions button at the top right.
2. Choose Complete X listing(s) with AI from the dropdown.
3. Select the marketplaces for which you want to complete the missing fields.
4. Click the Generate X listing(s) with AI button. This may take a few minutes, depending on the amount of listings you select.

WARNING

The changes will be saved to your inventory immediately. There is no way to undo them.

AI settings

You can customize how the AI works by adjusting its settings here.

• Tone: Choose how the AI writes your listings, such as neutral (default), friendly, professional, or humorous.
• Description length: Shorten the descriptions if you prefer something more concise.
• Custom instructions: Add your own guidelines like "Always start tags with #" or "Use bullet points in the description." Just write them in plain language, up to 1000 characters.
• Complete optional fields: When this option is enabled, the AI also tries to complete fields that are not strictly required on the marketplace.

This gives you more control over how your listings are generated.

AI generations are limited based on your subscription plan. You can track your usage using the counter under Account.
