Managing shipping profiles
Each marketplace has its own shipping rules.
Some only allow prepaid labels, others let you handle shipping yourself, and some offer local pickup options.
To simplify this, Crosslist uses shipping profiles based on three standardized shipping methods:
- Prepaid shipping — the marketplace provides the shipping label
- Ship yourself — you create or upload your own shipping label
- Local pickup — the buyer picks up the item in person
When you create a shipping profile in Crosslist, you choose one of these methods and configure the relevant details, such as domestic price, international price, or label instructions.
Crosslist automatically matches your profile to what the selected marketplace supports.
Unsupported methods are hidden, so you’ll only see valid shipping options for each platform.
Configuring your shipping profiles
To configure your shipping profiles, go to your shipping profiles.
Or follow these steps:
- Click Account at the top right of your screen
- Go to Shipping profiles in the account menu
You'll now see a screen that looks like this:

Setting up defaults
Crosslist lets you set default shipping values per marketplace, including weight, dimensions, and shipping price.
This is useful if you're frequently listing similar items and want to avoid entering the same details repeatedly.
You can configure your default settings here.
INFO
If you enter specific shipping details in the listing form, they will override your default values.
This gives you flexibility to make one-off changes without altering your saved defaults.
For Mercari and Facebook Marketplace, you can also set a preferred shipping carrier — useful if some carriers are more reliable or affordable in your region.
Currently supported carriers:
- DHL
- FedEx
- UPS
- USPS
INFO
If your preferred carrier is not available, Crosslist will automatically choose the cheapest available option.
If your preferred carrier has multiple rates, we’ll still choose the lowest cost.
