Shopify lets you configure your shipping settings in advance under Settings > Shipping and delivery in your Shopify admin.

You can set flat shipping rates, offer free shipping, or use carrier-calculated rates based on the buyer's location and package details.

Shopify automatically applies these settings to your listings, so you don't need to select a shipping method in Crosslist.

Shipping weight

Shopify allows sellers in supported countries, including the US, Canada, UK, and Australia, to purchase discounted shipping labels directly through Shopify Shipping.

To calculate accurate shipping rates and generate shipping labels, Shopify uses the product's shipping weight.

That's why Crosslist includes a shipping weight field when listing to Shopify.

While this field is optional in Crosslist, we recommend completing it if you use Shopify Shipping, carrier-calculated rates, or weight-based shipping rates.

You can also set fallback weight and dimensions in your Crosslist shipping profile for Shopify. Crosslist uses them when you leave these fields empty in the listing form.

WARNING

If you don't provide a shipping weight, Shopify may be unable to calculate accurate shipping rates or shipping label costs. Make sure your products have accurate weights when using these features.
