Shopify

Shopify lets you define your shipping methods in advance through its Shipping and Delivery settings.

These settings allow you to configure shipping rules per product and market—either using Shopify Shipping (prepaid labels) or setting flat rates yourself.

Your shipping method is determined automatically based on how you’ve set things up in Shopify.

You don’t need to select a method in your Crosslist shipping profiles — just complete the listing form with the necessary details.

Prepaid shipping

If you're located in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, or Australia, you can use Shopify Shipping to access discounted prepaid labels from major carriers.

To generate the correct label, Shopify requires a shipping weight for each product.

That’s why Crosslist includes a shipping weight field when listing to Shopify.

While this field is optional, it is required if you want Shopify to generate a prepaid label.

WARNING

If you don’t provide a shipping weight, make sure your product is assigned to a manual shipping profile (i.e. one not using Shopify Shipping).

Otherwise, Shopify won’t be able to generate a prepaid label.

INFO

You can set a default package weight for Shopify in your Crosslist shipping profiles.

Ship yourself

This option corresponds to manual shipping profiles in Shopify, where you define flat shipping rates per product or destination.

If you're using this method, you do not need to provide a shipping weight in Crosslist.

Your shipping prices will be determined entirely by the rates set in your Shopify admin.
