Facebook Marketplace

Shipping methods on Facebook Marketplace vary based on your location.

To set up your shipping profiles for Facebook Marketplace in Crosslist, click here.

Prepaid shipping

This shipping method corresponds to using a prepaid shipping label on Facebook Marketplace, where Facebook Marketplace provides a prepaid label at a discounted rate.

WARNING

Prepaid shipping is available only if you're based in the United States.

If you're in another country, you'll need to provide the shipping label yourself (see section Ship yourself below).

The shipping cost is based on the package weight, which you must enter in the Crosslist listing form:

Shipping weight

Based on this weight, Crosslist automatically selects the cheapest shipping provider available through Facebook Marketplace.

When using prepaid labels, Facebook Marketplace lets you choose whether the buyer or seller pays for shipping.

If you toggle Always free domestic shipping, Crosslist will automatically select the Seller pays option. If left untoggled, the default setting of Buyer pays will be applied.

INFO

Facebook Marketplace also lets you combine prepaid shipping with local pickup.

In this case, the buyer can decide whether he wants the item shipped, or whether he wants to pick up the item himself.

If you toggle Allow local pickup, Crosslist will automatically apply local pickup to your listings.

You can set default package weights and preferred carriers (DHL, UPS, FedEx, or USPS) in your shipping profiles.

If your preferred carrier offers multiple options, Crosslist will always select the cheapest. If your preferred carrier is unavailable, Crosslist will choose the most affordable alternative.

Ship yourself

This shipping method corresponds to ship yourself on Facebook Marketplace, where you provide the shipping label yourself.

The shipping cost is determined by you and can be entered in the domestic shipping price field in the Crosslist listing form:

Domestic shipping price

Facebook Marketplace allows you to choose whether the buyer or seller covers the shipping cost.

If you toggle Always free domestic shipping, Crosslist will automatically apply free domestic shipping to your listings.

INFO

Facebook Marketplace also lets you combine ship yourself with local pickup.

In this case, the buyer can decide whether he wants the item shipped, or whether he wants to pick up the item himself.

If you toggle Allow local pickup, Crosslist will automatically apply local pickup to your listings.

You can set default domestic and worldwide shipping prices in your shipping profiles.

Local pickup

With local pickup, you don't ship the item.

Instead, the buyer collects it from a specific location, typically near you. This option is ideal if you prefer not to ship and want the buyer to pick up the item in person.
