Connecting Whatnot
Crosslist connects to Whatnot through the Crosslist Chrome extension on computer, or on mobile by logging in to your Whatnot account.
WARNING
On mobile, logging in to Whatnot with Google, Facebook or Apple is not supported. Log in with your email or username and password instead.
Don't have a password for Whatnot yet? Set one first:
- Log in to Whatnot the way you usually do and go to your Whatnot account management.
- Click Change Password and set a password.
- Return to the Crosslist app and log in to Whatnot with your email or username and new password.
Before you start
Before you can use Crosslist with Whatnot, you need an approved Whatnot seller account with at least one shipping profile in your Whatnot shipping settings.
New to selling on Whatnot? The best way to finish your seller setup is to create one listing manually first.
To post auctions, you also need a scheduled live show on Whatnot.
On a computer, you also need the Crosslist Chrome extension installed. On mobile, you don't need it.
How to connect
- Go to Account > Marketplaces.
- Next to Whatnot, click Log in to your Whatnot account. The Whatnot login page opens in a new tab.
- Log in to Whatnot with Google, Apple, Facebook, or your email.
- After logging in, go back to Crosslist and click Recheck login. Your Whatnot account is now connected.
Common issues and fixes
Whatnot asks me to set up my account
Your Whatnot seller account isn't fully set up yet.
Create one listing manually on Whatnot and complete every prompt Whatnot shows. Then post through Crosslist again.
Whatnot says my shipping profile is missing
Whatnot needs at least one shipping profile before you can list. Create one in your Whatnot shipping settings, then post again.
Whatnot says no shipping profile fits my item's weight
None of your Whatnot shipping profiles covers the weight you entered. Add a shipping profile for this weight in your Whatnot shipping settings, or adjust the weight in Crosslist.
Whatnot asks for a live show to list an auction
Whatnot auctions run during live shows. Schedule a live show on Whatnot first, or post the item as a fixed-price listing instead.
