Installing remote desktop support

Sometimes, it may be necessary for the Crosslist support team to access your computer remotely so that we can assist you with a specific issue you are having.

The best and safest way to do this is by using Google Chrome's Remote Desktop Support.

To install Chrome's Remote Desktop Support, follow the steps below:

  1. Navigate to the Chrome's Remote Desktop Support website. Note that you will need to be logged in to a Google account in order to use this software.
  2. Under Share this screen, click the blue button to install the Chrome Remote Desktop extension.Remote Desktop Support
  3. In the pop-up that opens, click Add to Chrome to install the extension.Chrome Remote Desktop Extension
  4. Refresh the page using F5.
  5. Click the blue button again to download the required Windows/macOS package so that you can share your screen. Windows Package
  6. Install the Windows/macOS package.
  7. Go back to your browser, and click the Generate Code button. If this button is not visible, refresh the page using F5. Generate Code
  8. Share the code with the Crosslist support team.
  9. Accept the incoming connection.

Please try to avoid making sudden movements with your mouse or keyboard so that the support agent can control your computer more efficiently.

If you feel uncomfortable during the remote desktop session, you can close the session at any point in time by closing your browser.
