Frequently asked questions related to Vinted
Why do I get a captcha message when posting on Vinted?
For reasons not fully explained by Vinted, accounts are sometimes flagged and required to complete a captcha before continuing.
When this happens, click the URL shown in the error and complete the captcha.
If the error persists, create one listing manually on Vinted (using your computer, not the mobile app).
During the manual listing process, you should be prompted with the captcha again. Complete it and publish the listing.
Afterward, you can continue using Crosslist as normal.
Although the exact reasons for captchas are unknown, some common triggers include:
- Logging into the same Vinted account from multiple computers.
- Posting low-quality or stock images.
- Uploading a large number of listings in a short period of time without having a Vinted Pro account.
WARNING
If you continue to receive captcha messages repeatedly, it’s best to take a break and resume after 24 hours to safeguard your account.
Why is my Vinted listing deleted as a duplicate listing?
Vinted is very strict when it comes to duplicate listings. Normally, Crosslist prevents this by first delisting your existing listing and then relisting it to avoid duplicates.
However, if a manual action takes place on your account — for example, if a listing is relisted manually on Vinted or through another tool — the connection between Crosslist and Vinted is broken.
In this case, Crosslist cannot delist the original listing from Vinted, but it will still post the new one.
As a result, Vinted may flag the new listing as a duplicate of the old one.
To avoid this, always manage and modify your Vinted listings through Crosslist instead of manually or through third-party tools.
This ensures the link between your listings remains intact and prevents duplicate deletions.
